The Golden Demon Miniatures Competition is held each year at Games Day (hosted by Games Workshop) at a variety of cities. I have always attended the competition at Baltimore, MD (USA). Each competitor may enter one completely painted Games Workshop miniature into each category. The categories are then judged by Games Workshop employees. Winners are selected based upon quality of painting, color scheme, originality, and conversion work. Among the first place winners, one miniature is chosen to win the Golden Demon Slayer Sword.
